characteristics of frequency inverters, type vkv...
the frequency inverter, type vkv.. is used with single-speed, 3-phase ac-motors for use with
- elevators
- hoists
- inclined hoists
- hospital lifts and
- further conveyor systems.
for
- smooth starting with reduced current
- smooth slow down with optimized progress of motion
- exact positioning with gentle treatment of the a.c. motor, the brake and the control system.
features
- compact assembly
- input filter and output choke included (all vkv...); external input choke (to reduce the 5th harmonic)
- type vkv with vka-cabinet is for wall-mounting and includes power-contactors and input choke.
- type vkv with vks-cabinet is for wall-mounting and includes all EMC-filter measures (according to DIN EN 12015), the power-contactors and the input choke.
- relay output for the mechanical brake and security cutout
- built-in temperature-controlled blower to cool down the electronic-circuits and the power stage
- electronic current-control for a 200% overload capability (0,5s) and 150% overload capability (1min.)
- fast power-off in the case of a short-circuit or short to earth (output stage)
- processor-controlled BITE - System (Built-In-Test-Equipment) to watch internal functions
- LC-Display for parameterization (password-protected ) and system readout
- event log (stores the last 40 events)
- data-link to Notebook / PC via RS232
- analysis of the last drive and drive diagram recording via PC (RS232)
- remote diagnostic via MODEM
- PWM-clock frequency adjustable up to 16 kHz. During overload condition automatically reduced to 4 kHz.
- soft loading of the DC-link circuit
- removable display
- inverter can be operated with residual-current circuit-breakers (IF > 300mA / 500 mA)
- real time clock (RTC) included
Six separate adjustable velocities to provide a maximum of convenience:
- v3 - adjustable from low to high speed (up to 4 m/s)
- v2 - adjustable from low to high speed (up to 4 m/s)
- v1 - adjustable from low to high speed (up to 4 m/s)
- v0 - creeping speed
- vN - readjustment speed
- vR - inspection speed
- during a drive (with v0, v1, v2, v3) it is possible to alternate the selected speed as often as You want
- during acceleration or deceleration no alternation between the selected speeds is allowed
further details:
- further states indication via LED’s
- separate relays for the power contactors and the mechanical brake (controlled by Software). To provide a maximum of security, this relays are switched-OFF after a predefined time (hardware controlled)
- extra relay (speed controlled) for e. g. earlier door opening
- failure-monitoring (self-hold state)
- external over-current (short circuit, short to earth)
- internal over-current
- failure-monitoring including self-reset
- power-stage overheat
- chopper-resistor overheat
- phase-failure
- over-voltage (input stage)
- over-voltage (DC-link circuit)
- failure-monitoring with event-log
- to RESET the controller in the self-hold case just turn OFF the control voltage (230V AC)
- the vkv - controller is built for wall-mounting. Cover the air-intake and /or air-exhaust will damage the controller. Avoid unintended removal of the connecting-cable and additional wiring.
- brake resistors will get very hot during operation. Adequate heat dissipation is required. Do not cover! Do not touch!
- cabinet-mounting needs adequate ventilation.
- accessory: Line-filter and motor-filter to cover the EMC regulations (DIN EN 12015)
