characteristics of thyristor-controlled softstarter, type sp...
purpose
Devices of type sp... are thyristor controlled and are used for controlled acceleration of 3-phase asynchronous motors. Devices of type sp...w have a built in current sensor and are used for controlled acceleration without exceeding a adjustable current limit.
general
- EMC product standard: DIN EN 12015
- operation with residual-current circuit-breaker possible (IF > 500mA)
- start: immediately after connecting to the mains and applying the run command (e. g. corrective positioning < 100 ms possible)
- softstart devices can be connected directly to the motor or in sqrt3-connection (device current is reduced by the factor sqrt(3) = 1,73)
technology
- type sp... is equipped with a potentiometer to adjust starting torque and another one to adjust acceleration time
- type sp...w is equipped with a potentiometer to adjust the current limit (starting torque and acceleration time is setup automatically)
- mains: 3 x 400V AC (L1-L2-L3-PE), run command via external contact.
- relay output: 1 contact (no, 4A/250 V AC), closed after acceleration
- mounting: vertical position on a solid structure
- ambient temperature: max 45 °C /113°F
- monitoring: order of phase and absence of phase before starting, PTC during motor operation
- enclosure: IP00
- duty cycle: 30%
